Google gives Page Rank to every indexed sites between 0 (zero) to 10 where 10 is the highest. Page Rank totally depends on links in to your website and the page rank of links in. So the more blogs and sites linking to your blog or site the more pang rank it gets and also if the site or blog which is linking to you, if it has higher page rank your chance of getting higher rank is more.

Another think is the links in should not be like spam. Every site linking to your site or blog should not use same worlds. There are lot of ways to increase back links and page ranks.

Making Friends
Make your friends over the internet and you can provide back links to each others website or blog. In case you must remember that when you ask some one to give back link to your self you should not use same words for back link all time. Instead use some different words so that Google thinks it as valid back link and not a spam. And one more thing on a single page do not provide out side link to more than 100 sites or blogs other wise Google thinks that page a spam page.

Give Comments to articles of others
You can put comments in articles of other blog stating it is interesting or good or some thing similar positive comments and at the end give back link to your site as a signature. This is also really good way of increasing back links to your site. Here also same rule of using different words every time applies.

Use page rank seller
Many sites over the internet having higher page rank like 5 to 9 are selling their page rank. i.e. they will provide you back link to your site if you pay them some amount of money. This will increase your page rank drastically but it may be very costly. And if Google traces that site as page rank seller your page ranks also goes down. So it is very risky way.

Social Bookmarking and Sharing
This is also another free and easy way of increasing back links to your site/blog and pages withing your site or blog. There are many sites such as digg.com, yahoobuzz, technorati, zimbio.com, dzone.com, etc which provides options to share your articles of blog /website and gives back links to your articles /posts. This will also helps you to increase back links as well as page rank

There are two methods:

1. The automated and the simplest method, just download and run the included Batch file from the archive.

2. The Manual method. So follow this steps:

a.) Launch Registry Editor (Start -> Run -> Regedit).
b.) Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\yahoo\pager\YUrl
c.) Replacing the following registry values with dummy asterisk (*):

Webcam Upload Ad
Webcam Viewer Ad
Webcam Viewer Ad Big

f.) Locate the file urls.xml
g.) Clear the content of urls.xml
h.) Save the empty urls.xml file (it should be an empty file).
i.) Change the attributes of urls.xml to Read-Only by right click on the file and select properties, and click on Read-only.

Q1. How to Install Yahoo Messenger Skins?

1. Download the skin.
2. Unzip the file using WinZip or a similiar program.
3. Open your skins folder (My computer\C:\Program Files\Yahoo\Shared\Graphics).
4. Copy and paste all the theme folders there one by one.
5. Once you have all the files in the folder sign into Yahoo Messenger (if you weren't signed in already).
6. Now click on "Login" on your messenger window, then click on "preferences".
7. A new window will open and in that window on the left side click on "appearance".
8. Click on the arrow pointing down next to "current theme" and you'll see the new skin in the list that is in the pull down window (eg. Simpson's). Click on it then click on "apply" which is located at the bottom of that window

3. In the new window that opens click on "appearence".
4. Click on the colored (probably black) square next to "text color" and pick a color you think will look cool. Experiment a little Smile you'll find one that will look great.

Q3. How Do I Open Multiple Accounts In Yahoo Messenger At The Same Time?

1. Open registry editor (Start > Run > type "regedit").

Yahoo Messenger With Tabs: Mozilla Like Style

Imagine chatting with 5-6 friends at a time and you whole computer screen is filled with chatting windows. It just seems a nightmare. So guys there's a solution to this problem. With this registry tweak you can mod your yahoo messenger so it won't open multiple windows while chatting with many people at the same time.

You will have tabs for different friends like these days we have tabs in browsers. If you don't want tabs at a particular time, you can also turn off this feature with a simple right click on the person's tab and choose open in new window. This little hack will change your chatting experience because you will have a neat screen to look at.

I have made two registry files for the mod. Just download the file and unzip it. It will have two registry file; one named "Tabs" and one "No Tabs". If you want to enable tabs in your messenger just double click on "Tabs" file and click ok when a dialog box appears.


While you can turn off the tab feature in yahoo messenger itself, I have also provided a "No Tabs" registry file so that in case you want this feature to be completely out of your messenger, you can simple double click on this file and choose ok when a dialog box appears.

Get your name in the yahoo messenger title bar - hack

Hey guys now you can change the Yahoo Messenger 's title bar which this little tweak.
Note: Before trying this tricks make sure to close all instances (windows) of yahoo messenger.

Just follow these steps:
1. Open you yahoo messenger installation folder (default C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger).
2. Then search a file named "ymsgr". Double click to open it. If it doesn't open, then use notepad to open this file.
3. In this file just go to the end and paste the following code in a new line:

[APP TITLE]
CAPTION=Cool Wizard

As you can guess, you can replace the word Cool Wizard with any text of your choice. You can have your own name being placed in yahoo messenger title bar.

Now open your yahoo messenger and see the change.

Yahoo Launches Kickstart, A New Social Network Around College Students And Alumni

Yahoo’s advanced products group, led by Scott Gatz, is launching a new service this evening called Kickstart. While immediate analogies will be drawn to Facebook, the service is actually much more like LinkedIn in that it connects students and alumni at specific colleges and universities and helps them connect on a professional level. Alumni can help students get jobs (or can find good students to fill spots at whatever company they work at), and students can reach out to others to help jumpstart their professional career. Doostang, an invitation-only job network which just raised $2.5 million, is also a point of comparison. New users sign up for the service and add basic college and work information (by choosing a college, they also choose a network). Users are automatically connected to others than went to, or are going to, the school. And they can make other friends in the network as well. Once the network gets started, Gatz says they’ll start to focus on events, message boards and other features. Eventually recruiters will be let in (Gatz promises not to let them spam users) as well. Kickstart is focusing on getting alumni to sign up first, and will be offering a $25,000 prize to whichever college/university gets the most alumni to sign up before December 31. What I liked about the service when I saw a demo last week was the possibility to find a deep database of individuals that went to the same schools that I did. And this clearly isn’t a place for pictures of partying and drinking - the whole point is to build up a professional network to help you move your career along. For young students just getting out of college this can be a very useful service. And they can keep having fun on Facebook…while pointing potential professional contacts to their Kickstart profiles. Yesterday we covered a number of startups that are trying to recreate the college-only magic of Facebook. Yahoo! has released the Yahoo! Messengers 9 which really good feature for India's local languages

Yahoo! India is doing everything right to grab the local language market here.

Yahoo! had launched their very popular Yahoo! Mail in Hindi allowing anyone to easily read or write email messages in Hindi. The Yahoo! Mail Hindi edition is just like the English version except that the interface is in Hindi.

The news comes just after Yahoo released the beta version of Yahoo! Messenger 9 for Windows.

Yahoo! India has also introduced a web version of Yahoo! Messenger (link) that lets you connect with IM friends without installing the IM software on the desktop. The new Yahoo! web messenger now allows users to chat most Indian languages including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi and Gujarati.

Yahoo! messenger users can switch between Indian languages seamlessly along with English. The desktop edition of Yahoo! Messenger already has tons of local language emotions and shout outs to give it a local touch

MAP+ (Firefox Extension or Add-on for YAHOO MAPS)

MAP+ is the Firefox extension or add-on using which you can open map for specified location in yahoo maps without opening new window or new tab.

View a Yahoo! map of a selected address without having to open a new window or tab.

Currently, Map+ only supports addresses within the United States (sorry).

Getting Started:
After installing Map+ and restarting Firefox, click on the "Tools" menu and select "Add-ons." A dialog box will appear with a list of installed Add-ons, click on the Map+ entry and push the "Options" button. A new dialog box will appear. Here you can enter your address and adjust the size of Map+. Push the "OK" button and close the Add-ons dialog. You're all done!

As an example, highlight the following address: 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043 (hold down the left mouse button and drag across the entire address). Now right click on this highlighted text and you'll see a menu entry that says "View map of 1600 Amphtitheatre...". Click on that menu item and a popup with a map of that location should appear. If you want to get directions to that location, simply click on the little bubble icon that appears on the map and click the "To here" link. A new tab will open with the Yahoo driving directions.

• Go to the address http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy & click the "Cookies" link under the "Special Topics" column.
• Click the "Web Beacons" link under the "Reference Links" Column.
• On this page, click the "click here to opt out" link toward the end of the third paragraph under the "Outside the Yahoo! Network" title.
• After a while, a page that says you have been out of the monitoring program will load. Without doing anything, close that page or continue your usual surfing by typing another address in the address bar. (Do NOT click the "Cancel Opt-out" button, your action will be cancelled!).
• You're done! Now Yahoo! will not record what you're doing during surfing.

Light Reading reports that Google will be implementing Google Talk into Google’s social Social Networking -Orkut. Google Talk and Orkut’s development teams are busy working on the integration, which is expected to be finish by next week. Google spokeswoman Courtney Hohne said that they have noticed that “a lot of people that were using Orkut also had their GTalk client open at the same time”.

“This single feature will have a significant impact on the penetration of Google Talk client especially in India where Orkut is hugely popular but GTalk is only to be found on the desktop of geeks.” says Amit Agarwal.

One step ahead Darnell Clayton from Inside orkut observes that installing Gtalk in Orkut will solve two problems at once, as it will not only create a chat program within, but also an online status indicator as well. What he feels that it would be cool if Google integrated this within their Friend Maps page, as users would then be able to see which of their friends are online half way around the world.

Well I feel Google can add another block on orkut home page showing friends using Google Talk the way they shows mutual friends listing on Profile Pages! Another way to add small box like quick contacts in Gmail (as shown in the image on right hand side)!
If these violates orkut's home page design ethics then they can add a small indicator dot beside every profile!

Well let them come up with whats on their mind, we have many geeks around to serve this new feature as per your need! This will certainly free orkuttian from using quite heavy scrapboy messenger!

As you all know, Yahoo! upgraded its features and the capacities of the mail accounts have grown to 250 MB. That's good for sure, but the "monitoring" methods that we all have been far too familiar with in the last couple of years have been renewed with this move also. Yahoo! is now keeping track of which sites its members that are getting into groups or using Yahoo! services are visiting and storing this data with a method called "Web Beacons". The aim is to give these statistics to the partner companies arranged by agreement and to improve the "advertisement guiding" function.

However, those who are bothered by this and do not want to be kept track of have still a choice. Yahoo! has hidden this option way deep inside somewhere but I'm declaring it here in case there are people who want it anyway:

1. Go to the address
